Economic Expansions and Recessions in Perspective

Comparing the decline in real GDP during the Great Depression (@ -26.7%) and the most recent recession (@ -4.1%) gives you an idea that even though our current conditions are unquestionably challenging, what most American's faced in the 1930s was much more severe and depressing.
